1st Shift Maintenance Technician / Paid Weekly

PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING REQUIRED

6:00 am to 2:00 pm / Monday - Friday

The Maintenance Mechanic is primarily responsible for assembly and installation of manufacturing equipment at Products Unlimited, Inc. Omaha, NE manufacturing facilities. Provide ongoing preventative maintenance, adjustments and repairs to the production line and assembly equipment, minimizing down time. Includes installing water and compressed air piping, ductwork, electrical conduit, and positioning machinery to allow for efficient production operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Maintains new and re-built production-line equipment accurately and compliant to specifications. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery; follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoots malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using forklifts, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
