We are looking to add a Maintenance Technician to our Maintenance team. Together, the team is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Town Dock\'s buildings, grounds, equipment, vehicles, and vessels to ensure continuous productivity within the business.

In this role, this individual reports to the Vice President of HR and Safety and is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both facilities, as well as the equipment. This position works primarily out of our Narragansett facility and is expected to travel to the Johnston location as needed.

Salary: $23-$25/hour

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

\xc2\xb7 Diagnose, repair, and maintain food facilities and equipment in Narragansett and Johnston, in addition to the administrative building

\xc2\xb7 Maintain and repair pallet jacks, forklifts and scissor lifts

\xc2\xb7 Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities as assigned

\xc2\xb7 Operate the Ice Plant at the Narragansett facility. This includes running ice production equipment, conveying equipment, scales, and pumping ice for boats.

\xc2\xb7 Snow removal

\xc2\xb7 Complete assigned work orders within timely manner. Work orders may include, but not limited to mechanical work, plumbing, carpentry, refrigeration, welding, minor electrical, painting, safety inspections and cleaning.

\xc2\xb7 Work independently and/or with other team members depending on the work

\xc2\xb7 Assist with the repair and maintenance of boats when necessary

\xc2\xb7 Coordinating with and researching outside vendors for work requiring outsourced assistance

\xc2\xb7 Research and order parts as needed

\xc2\xb7 Document completion of work

\xc2\xb7 Work in both Johnston and Narragansett facilities depending on workload and as directed

\xc2\xb7 Work with other maintenance staff on assigned projects

\xc2\xb7 Travel to pick up parts/equipment as needed

\xc2\xb7 Maintain cleanliness of the maintenance shop and work areas on the job

\xc2\xb7 Maintain DOT, HACCP, OSHA and Food Safety regulations throughout maintenance responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Report any safety violations

\xc2\xb7 Special projects as directed

\xc2\xb7 On occasion this position is required to answer calls after hours. Call-backs and/or extended hours are required when needed.

\xc2\xb7 Other job related duties as assigned Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 High School diploma or equivalent

\xc2\xb7 Ability/skill to operate a forklift, pallet jack and scissor lift

\xc2\xb7 Valid Driver\'s license required

\xc2\xb7 Basic understanding of pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors required

\xc2\xb7 Basic knowledge of pallet jacks, fork trucks, scissor lifts, electrical preferred

\xc2\xb7 Ability to weld and fabricate desired

\xc2\xb7 Carpentry/electrical/mechanical skills

\xc2\xb7 Refrigeration experience helpful

\xc2\xb7 Experience in a maintenance role within a food facility is ideal

\xc2\xb7 Willingness to grow knowledge base in areas such as refrigeration and forklift repair

\xc2\xb7 Customer service and team focused

\xc2\xb7 Safety conscious

\xc2\xb7 Lockout/Tagout Training or the willingness to be trained

\xc2\xb7 Capable of working productively while unsupervised

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently and with a team

\xc2\xb7 Ability to be flexible with changing priorities

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work extended hours, holidays, and weekends as needed

\xc2\xb7 Physical ability to lift 75 lbs, work in confined conditions, work at heights up to 30\' in lifts, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stand on feet for long periods, use hand-held and power tools

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work in fluctuating conditions \xe2\x80\x93 heat, cold, wind

\xc2\xb7 Physical demands including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and shoveling

\xc2\xb7 Ability to read, write and speak English

\xc2\xb7 Basic math skills required

\xc2\xb7 Computer skills and ability in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook preferred but not required
