Responsible for learning all aspects of vehicle maintenance including equipment, truck and trailer repair, body shop and trailer shop. Responsible for adherence to OSHA and EPA compliance.
Essential Functions
Performs entry level repairs, maintenance, and mechanical tasks on all trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment.
Under supervision performs diagnostic tests. Earns DOT and brake inspector qualified via fleet shop experience; OEM training program or retail shop experience.
Under supervision removes and installs items such as starters, batteries, alternators, water pumps, air compressors.
Under supervision removes and installs mounted tires.
Under supervision maintains wheel end maintenance.
Reports work progress and problems with all equipment to supervisor.
Completes work order forms.
Services vehicles and equipment per assigned schedule.
Assists all level of Technicians for learning experience.
Under supervision performs computer-related functions that involve diagnosis of trucks.
Preforms preventive maintenance.
Performs general housekeeping duties in shop.
Other duties as assigned.
