to join our team. This position is responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our 75-room hotel, ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
Previous hotel or hospitality maintenance experience is preferred
, but not required for candidates with strong general maintenance skills.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and exterior spaces
Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, drywall, painting, carpentry, and flooring issues
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and work orders
Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns
Maintain swimming pool, laundry equipment, and kitchen equipment as applicable
Assist with vendor coordination and oversee contracted repair work when needed
Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and local codes
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inventory of supplies and tools
Participate in emergency response situations (power outages, water leaks, etc.)
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous hotel or hospitality maintenance experience preferred
General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
Ability to use hand and power tools safely
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Excellent customer service skills with a guest-focused mindset
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods
Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or on-call availability
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Skills
Experience working in a branded hotel environment (Hilton/Hampton preferred)
Pool certification (or willingness to obtain)
Basic computer skills for work order systems
Preventive maintenance program experience
