Maintenance Technician - The Wentworth Hotel

Job Summary

The Wentworth Hotel is seeking a reliable and skilled

Maintenance Technician

to help maintain the safety, comfort, and appearance of our historic property. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to support exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Troubleshoot and repair issues in guest rooms and hotel facilities Complete general maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, welding, and minor repairs Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize guest disruption Coordinate with and oversee outside contractors as needed

Requirements

Experience in facilities or hotel maintenance preferred Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Ability to read schematics and technical manuals Welding and general building maintenance experience a plus Familiarity with work order systems Strong communication skills and guest-focused mindset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
