Summary/Objective
The Maintenance Technician & Inspector provides the maintenance service and management necessary to ensure the SCMG client's and guest's expectations and needs are met. Proficiency in areas like plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC. management of laundry equipment and housekeeping standards, customer Service to drive incredible reviews based on condition of property, create repair & improvement efficiencies, and ultimately be the eyes and ears of the properties and businesses, both inside and outside.
The amazing things you will do:
Duties include:
Load and unload trucks as needed.
Coordinate delivery of materials and furnishings.
Assist in furniture placement, assembly, and deliveries
Organizing and maintaining a clean efficient warehouse space
Respond to maintenance calls to our properties and businesses that we manage to troubleshoot, diagnose or repair whats needed and coordinate with property owners, guests and staff.
Proficiency in areas like plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC. management of laundry equipment and housekeeping standards
Provide cleaning and oversight of vehicle/fleet maintenance (daily task)
Clean, repair, and improve inventory/ warehouse equipment.
Respond to weather conditions on properties or businesses to maintain routine and emergency access which includes operating equipment and shovels to clear walkways, roads and parking lots of snow and ice. Often this work requires working during nonstandard shifts with short notice.
Assist as needed to prepare for events on-grounds occasionally requiring work to be performed during nonstandard shifts (weekends and/or evenings).
Collaborate with department leads to ensure cross-functional alignment (housekeeping, concierge, events, etc.)
Work Weekends, Evenings and handle occasional after hours emergencies.
Key Traits That Will Make You A Success In This Position
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in property management, maintenance or handyman experience.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Heavy lifting and ability to lift over 70lbs is a must
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Familiarity with inventory management systems and Property & Fleet maintenance
Willingness to take on a variety of tasks and adapt to a dynamic work environment
Competencies
Property Management, Equipment knowledge, chainsaws, Painting, Minor Repairs, Grounds Maintenance.
Electric, Drywall, Heavy Machinery Knowledge all a plus
Bilingual, Espanol, a plus.
Required Education and Experience
At least five years of strong service and maintenance experience role.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Demonstrated hands on experience in facility or property management and maintenance.
Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to company mission.
Flexibility and ability to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities.
Drivers license and reliable transportation to get to work sites.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
