Role:
We are seeking a dedicated
Plant Operations Technician
(Maintenance Technician)to join our team! This Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Plant Operations Director with maintaining the care of the community facility for residents, employees and the public. This includes lawn care, painting, remodeling, plumbing and other general building maintenance. The maintenance person must be knowledgeable in all areas of building maintenance and must be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Follows and upholds thecommunity'sphilosophy and goal to maintain, improve and/or enhance each residents quality of care and quality of life
Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community.
Attends and participates in facility meetings and in-service training programs as assigned
Follows infection control guidelines
Observes residents rights including, but not limited to, privacy, dignity, etc.
Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests
Follows safety policies, assuring resident safety
Follows and understands the community'sEmergency Preparedness plans
Maintain, repair and service all facility equipment and furnishings as required
Assist with transportation of the community's residents as requested
Must possess the ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner
Maintain and clean all flooring material
Assist in laundry and housekeeping departments as needed
Assist with resident transportation/driving duties as needed including; driving residents to and from appointments, assisting residents on and off the vehicle, pushing their wheelchair as necessary, etc..
May be on-call as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical and carpentry skills.
Possess a valid driver's license and excellent driving record with ability to obtain a class D Chauffers' license or applicable state required transport license.
