Job Description

We are currently seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to service our Apartment complex in downtown Honolulu. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of the property's exterior and common areas, ensuring all spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained. This position requires a strong understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and repair techniques, as well as a proactive approach to troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Perform exterior and common-area maintenance to preserve the property's cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition. Maintain and repair building systems, including pumps, HVAC, plumbing, and water/sewage systems. Follow all applicable service and technical manuals when performing preventive maintenance, repairs, or replacement work. Maintain daily logs of maintenance activities, operations, and safety checks. Construct, install, and repair walls, partitions, doors, windows, and millwork. Apply and repair finishes such as paint, drywall, wallpaper, and laminates. Perform general carpentry, framing, and painting tasks throughout the property. Adhere to all OSHA, and property-specific safety standards and procedures. Identify, address, and report maintenance issues promptly and professionally. Provide courteous, high-quality service to residents and guests.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/ qualifications:

Must have working knowledge in general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, air condition, and refrigeration. Minimum two years of experience in apartment or condominium complex (maintenance, facilities, or building operations.). A minimum of two years' experience in an equal or similar position. Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry, air conditioning and plumbing systems. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ladders, and building maintenance equipment. Excellent attention to detail, organization skills and logical problem solving; takes the initiative to provide common sense solutions to problems which arise in day-to-day operations, sometimes under stressful situations, and follows through to complete such tasks with minimum supervision. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Oral and written English communication essential. High school graduate Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs independently; more with assistance Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces. Must be able to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for the duration of the shift. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.

Pay: $24.50 - $30.30 per hour
