Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This role requires a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation equipment. Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to assist with repairs and installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or residents. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and inventory management. Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors when required, providing leadership and guidance. Assist with residential painting projects as part of facility upkeep. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure minimal downtime during repairs.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in facilities maintenance. Proficiency in electrical systems, including the use of an ohmmeter for diagnostics. Previous experience in manufacturing environments is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism at all times.
