Maintenance Technician

Thrifty White Pharmacy is seeking out full-time Maintenance Technician to work at our#061 Fargo, North Dakota facility. Candidates must possess a good work ethic, the ability to work overtime when needed, a great attendance record, open availability, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment. Hi lift and automated A-frame selection technology experience is a plus!

Primary Objective: To performing various types of electro/mechanical maintenance work such as operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting high volume output manufacturing and distribution material, and other automated conveyor systems for production related equipment to ensure smooth daily operations through the Central Sites Facilities and our retail locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical, mechanical or communications/networking troubleshooting to determine problems and resolution.
  • Provides input and directs activities of operators and inspections related to plant procedures and processes.
  • Enforces process standard operating procedures and process disciplines.
  • Use native software development programs, actively monitor, run histograms, troubleshoot, or make controlled edits to PLC programs or machine configurations in order to troubleshoot or improve operations.
  • Perform PC and PLC based control systems configuration, startup and maintenance support.
  • Maintain records of all program changes, assembly drawings and product specifications.
  • Mentor and train personnel.
  • Assist in the development and execution of training plans in conjunction with IT Department and external vendors.
  • Proactively conducts preventive maintenance inspections and performs required preventive maintenance duties in accordance with recommended schedules.
  • Instruct production operators on equipment use and proper operation.
  • Provide assistance in installation, diagnostics, and repair of industrial automation systems and equipment.
  • Manage electronic format data, process parameters, hardware and systems, PC based systems, and production data networks.
  • Performs setup, calibrations, and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Interface between staff engineers, external technical representatives, operations, and maintenance personnel.
  • Assists in installation, diagnostics, and maintenance of industrial automation equipment (i.e. instrumentation, industrial communications, DCS, HMI, PLC, PC interface, and third party equipment).
  • Actively participates in safety and environmental programs and other programs determined by management.
  • Assist with projects at retail stores including remodels, new set ups, and maintenance.
  • Follows all company polices relating to loss prevention and security procedures.
  • Some travel time as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • HS Diploma.
  • Valid state driver\xe2\x80\x99s license.
  • Two (2) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience relevant to electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance in an industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electronic aptitude.
  • Must be motivated, responsible and willing to adapt to a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Heavy lifting, 50-80+ pounds are required.
  • Fork Lift Certified.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • An outgoing, courteous and pleasant personality.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications and networking.
  • Ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime as business needs dictate.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
