We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team
PART TIME
and ensure the seamless operation of our facilities and manufacturing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise across a variety of maintenance tasks, from electrical systems to mechanical repairs, while contributing to a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to keep our operations running smoothly. Your energetic approach and problem-solving skills will help drive operational excellence and uphold our commitment to quality.
Duties
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
Perform unit inspections and preventative maintenance schedules
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Qualifications
Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong mechanical background.
Knowledge of electrical systems including wiring, circuits, schematics, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated manufacturing environments.
Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication purposes.
Ability to read technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately.
Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices including HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.

Proven experience as maintenance technician
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
