We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and be proficient in various technical skills. This role involves ensuring the optimal operation of equipment and systems, performing repairs, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC laser systems, press brakes, and other automated manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal production efficiency and safety.
Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC laser cutting systems, press brakes, and automated machinery
Performs scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Perform other related activities as requested.
Responsibility

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
Replace worn parts, components, and consumables as needed
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order documentation
Maintain compliance with work instructions, standard practices, policies, and procedures.
Program and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance
Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime during maintenance activities
Follow all safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Analyzing equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques
Provide support in the investigation of quality complaints and implementing corrective actions.Assist problem-solving and process improvement activities as directed.
Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
Trade school certification or apprenticeship completion highly valued
Valid driver's license.
Skills
3+ years experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in metal manufacturing
Proficiency with CNC laser systems (Bystronic, Trumpf, Mazak, Amada, or similar)
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic press brake systems
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (480V 3-phase, motor controls)
PLC programming and troubleshooting experience preffered.
Ability to read and modify ladder logic, function block diagrams, and HMI interfaces
Knowledge of mechanical drive systems, bearings, and power transmission
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
Strong attention to detail and quality focus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions
Flexibility to work overtime and respond to emergency calls as needed
