Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the property, equipment, and systems remain in good working order. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Complete work orders promptly and accurately. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, appliances, and fixtures as needed. Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment life. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and inventory. Assist with property upkeep including painting, minor carpentry, and landscaping tasks. Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner. Ensure all work is performed safely and complies with company policies and regulations. Communicate effectively with maintenance director and residents regarding repairs and maintenance updates.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred. 1-3 years of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or a related field. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair. Ability to read and interpret work orders, manuals, and diagrams. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoors/outdoors). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Strong customer service and communication skills.

Schedule:

Full-time; may include on-call hours, weekends, or evenings as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
