Maintenance Technician needed in Brook, Indiana

Schedule: (2-2-3 Rotating Schedule)

• 6am - 6pm
• 6pm - 6am

Job Duties:

• Performing regular preventative maintenance tasks.

• Identifying any repairs or needs

• Communicate effectively with Production Managers, Supervisors, and production team members

• Documentation repair and preventative maintenance daily work items timely and accurately

• Participate in shift change meetings communicating and coordinating work with other maintenance team members.

• Training new and existing maintenance mechanics to improve troubleshooting skills

• Work in a teaming environment with other maintenance mechanics

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Daily completion of work orders and return them to Maintenance Manager.

• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly area maintenance owning a specified area and maintaining it, also making recommendation for improvements.

• Work in various conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)

• Comply with the plant\'s food packaging safety system

• Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, environmental compliance, follow all PPE and food regulation requirements and standards.

Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and work efficiently with maintenance parts software.

• Willing to submit to a drug test and background check

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Will work with schematics and blueprints

• Ability to read and properly understand pmi numbers on documents and products.

• Maintain consistent attendance, positive attitude, and initiative.

• High school diploma or equivalent, vocational trade school or some college preferred

• Minimum experience of at least 3 years in a mechanical and electrical field

• Proven understanding and ability to repair industrial electrical systems as well as mechanical systems

• Ability to trouble shoot systems and equipment to determine root causes of problems

• Must have computer skills to be able to fill out a work order or input inventory items in a maintenance system.

• Able to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs)

• Must be able to stand, lift, twist, bend, climb, etc.
