Communicate effectively with Production Managers, Supervisors, and production team members
Documentation repair and preventative maintenance daily work items timely and accurately
Participate in shift change meetings communicating and coordinating work with other maintenance team members.
Training new and existing maintenance mechanics to improve troubleshooting skills
Work in a teaming environment with other maintenance mechanics
Performs other duties as assigned.
Daily completion of work orders and return them to Maintenance Manager.
Conduct daily, weekly and monthly area maintenance owning a specified area and maintaining it, also making recommendation for improvements.
Work in various conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
Comply with the plant\'s food packaging safety system
Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, environmental compliance, follow all PPE and food regulation requirements and standards.
Qualifications:
Ability to understand and work efficiently with maintenance parts software.
Willing to submit to a drug test and background check
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Will work with schematics and blueprints
Ability to read and properly understand pmi numbers on documents and products.
Maintain consistent attendance, positive attitude, and initiative.
High school diploma or equivalent, vocational trade school or some college preferred
Minimum experience of at least 3 years in a mechanical and electrical field
Proven understanding and ability to repair industrial electrical systems as well as mechanical systems
Ability to trouble shoot systems and equipment to determine root causes of problems
Must have computer skills to be able to fill out a work order or input inventory items in a maintenance system.
Able to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs)
Must be able to stand, lift, twist, bend, climb, etc.
