The Successful Candidate
The Successful Candidate is a team player that takes pride in being part of the FMS Story and instills that pride in others. This position reports directly to the appropriate Manager or Supervisor and is an entry level maintenance position with on-site training to develop maintenance skills. Shift is M-F 11:00a-5:30p and some weekends are required. Rate is $19.00 per hour with merit-based increase opportunities. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Complete Work Requests in a timely fashion
o Complete building walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs and enter those into work request system
o Perform required FMS equipment and supply delivery processes
o Resolve minor, immediate issues (cleaning, customer, employee, safety)
o Assist with meeting set ups and tear downs
o Assist with floor care services as needed
o Assist with snow, ice and debris removal
o Assist Account Manager as required
o Ability to use a ladder and knowledge of ladder safety
o Ability to learn and use a lift and knowledge of lift safety
o Minor painting, electrical, and plumbing tasks
o Knowledge of tool usage and organization
o Ability to operate company vehicles with hitch/trailer
o Ground maintenance
o Other minor maintenance items assigned (drywall patching/repair, door locks, ceiling tiles, light furniture assembly)
o Use leaf blower
o Empty trash cans
o Clear drains
o Deliver packages
o Demonstrate FMS core values, professionalism, and positivity to all stakeholders
o Adhere to FMS and customer uniform policy
o Verify cleaning and work orders are completed to FMS standards
o Identify safety, cleaning, employee, and customer needs
o Communicate safety needs to supervisor daily
o Communicate supply equipment needs to supervisor daily
o Communicate personal needs to supervisor daily
o If a request is made verbally, kindly instruct the requestor to submit it through GoFMX for proper tracking and processing.
o General knowledge of minor electrical work, plumbing and HVAC
o Ability to work on ladders and lifts
o Ability to operate small equipment
Lift, push, pull objects weighing up to 40 lbs and carry up to 20lbs.
o Squat, bend, stoop and reach
o Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances (over 100 yards) for long periods of time.
o Perform overhead reaching
o Perform repetitive arm and hand movements for long periods of time
o Work in noisy environments
o Work in warm and/or chilly environments
o Work outside when needed
o Fill out paperwork
o Utilize smart phone technology for work functions
