Job Summary




The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance on equipment and facility systems in a metal manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with safety protocols, supports equipment installations, and works closely with the Maintenance Lead Man to maintain machine reliability in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

Key Responsibilities



Follow and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE protocols. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and respond to equipment breakdowns across CNC machines, presses, and facility systems. Work closely with the Maintenance Lead Man for hands-on training and guidance on equipment repair procedures. Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications to improve production efficiency. Immediately report any abnormal equipment conditions found during PMs that fall outside the standard scope. Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance tasks and parts usage. Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis of equipment issues. Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized in compliance with 5S and ISO 9001 requirements.

Qualifications



High school diploma or GED; technical training or certifications preferred. 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in metal manufacturing. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with CNC machinery and preventive maintenance programs. Willingness to follow instructions, ask questions, and learn from senior staff. Familiarity with ISO 9001 principles and documentation practices is a plus.

Physical & Environmental Requirements



Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in hot, loud, or confined environments. Frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and exposure to grease, metal shavings, and industrial equipment. Use of hand and power tools, often in elevated or restricted workspaces.
