What you will have an opportunity to do:

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Lead is responsible to assist the Facility Manager in overseeing the daily functions of the Grounds and Maintenance personnel to ensure that all areas of Red Mountain Resort are in excellent guest ready condition. This individual must display strong knowledge of building maintenance, safety practices and motivate and organize the duties of others.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • In the absence of the Facilities Manager, delegates the daily tasks of Maintenance Team and Groundskeepers, and is expected to contact third party contractors for repairs such as HVAC, Plumbing, Information Technology, and other systems whose repairs require specific skills.
  • Becomes familiar with all resort emergency protocols, and may be called to the resort during an emergency, such as fire, major system failure or evacuation.
  • Perform regular inspections of resort buildings and grounds to ensure maintenance guidelines are maintained.
  • Inspects work of team members for conformance to standards.
  • Computer literate to log necessary repairs in work order system and assigns repairs through our work order system (Landport) When Needed.
  • Works with multiple departments to schedule repairs when able to have the least guest and operation impact.
  • Provide leadership within the Maintenance Department by working with Facilities Manager. Will work with Facility Manager in developing policies and procedures, coaching, developing and implementing safe work practices.
  • Observes team members for proper operation and use of machinery, maintenance equipment, tools, products, and chemicals.
  • Is expected to immediately and tactfully correct unsafe behavior or improper use, and report ongoing team member issues to Facility Manager for further disciplinary action.
  • Ensures team members are working efficiently, may recommend new methods and tools to Facility Manager
  • Assist Facilities Manager with stocking and maintaining inventory to ensure adequate supplies at all times.
  • Ensures storage areas are clean, organized and inventoried.
  • Attends and participates in company meetings as assigned.
  • Participates in continuing education opportunities for personal growth, training and development.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Red Mountain Gold Star Standards.
  • Cover shifts as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma and 3 years previous maintenance experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to interpret, mediate and resolve staff and guest issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid driver license required.
  • CPR/AED certification required within 60 days from date of hire.
