Job Description

The maintenance Supervisor for Lake McMurtry Friends Inc will serve as the lead person for maintenance and repairs of park facilities. Position reports directly to Park Manger / Direct Supervisor

In coordination with Park Manager / Direct Supervisor the maintenance supervisor will

Oversee repair, cleaning, and maintenance of park buildings, campgrounds, and facilities

Troubleshoot situations to determine the priority of work assignments

Participate in the planning and execution of park capital improvement projects

Ensure cleanliness and organization of park maintenance yards and shops

Assist fulltime staff with the set up and break down of various park events

Conduct routine inspections and repairs of all park vehicles and equipment

In coordination with the Park Manger, when necessary, facilitate repairs that require professional services

Complete, file, and maintain all equipment maintenance records

Assign, oversee, and inspect the work of seasonal grounds crew staff

Train seasonal grounds crew staff members on all vehicles, equipment and power tools

Assist in hiring of seasonal employees

Maintain training records of seasonal staff

Assist full time staff members with weekend on-call rotations

Assist with park patrol duties with a courteous demeanor

Maintain a professional relationship and image with the public, co-workers, and volunteers

Increase personal knowledge and skills through professional development

Minimum Qualifications

A Highschool Diploma, GED, or other equivalent education Must posses a valid drivers license
At least 3 years experience in the following:

Building construction, repair, and maintenance methods, materials, and practices Vehicle maintenance and repair methods Maintenance of plumbing, heating, electrical, ventilating, air conditioning Maintenance of park structures, mechanical systems, related equipment and facilities Competent and safe operation of various power tools, equipment, and vehicles Leadership and Supervisory experience

Additional Requirements:

Position requires medium to heavy lifting, walking, and standing on uneven terrain, crawling, and working at heights. Exposure to weather conditions, cleaning agents, and other materials and substances used in maintaining park facilities and grounds.

Ability to read and understand written procedures and directions; ability to perform simple arithmetic computations. Ability to operate a variety of power tools and motorized equipment.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
