Overview

:

The Facilities Staff members support the mission of the church by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all church ministries and guests. In this active, physically involved role, as well as supervising, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks not limited to repairs, plumbing, electrical, painting, etc.

This role will mainly be a nightly position and Sundays, it will require supervisory skills.

The individual must demonstrate reliability, integrity, and a heart for serving within a Christian ministry context.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Assess/inspect malfunctioning Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems to determine necessary maintenance or repairs. Perform routine and/or preventative maintenance and repairs on the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems and facilities as scheduled. Ensure assigned maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Obtain repair estimates from vendors for specific repair projects and ensure satisfactory completion. Conduct regular inspections on building equipment and systems, such as fire and security systems. Assist Facilities Team with set-ups (services, events, etc.) and break-downs. Perform other facility-related duties as assigned. Carpentry, painting, etc. as needed. Ensure compliance with safety codes, maintenance procedures, and regulations. Ability to travel between the different Calvary campuses.

Skills:

Ability to work within the team or independently, if needed. Ability to communicate clearly, respectfully, in an appropriate manner and possess a teachable attitude. Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

High school Diploma or GED required. An Associate's Degree or a Certification in either mechanical (HVAC), electrical or plumbing is preferred. A minimum of 5 years' experience maintaining and repairing either Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing systems are preferred. A current certification in a Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing system is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to walk, stand, sit, kneel, and climb for prolonged periods of time. Must be physically able to perform repairs and maintenance as needed. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
