Maintenance Supervisor
Summary:
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you are a frontline leader responsible for setting clear expectations, driving consistent execution, and developing talent while ensuring safe, reliable maintenance operations. You play a critical role in strengthening leadership capability within the maintenance organization by modeling professionalism, accountability, and proactive decision-making. This role is ideal for a leader who believes supervision is about influence, high standards, and people development--not just assigning tasks.

Responsibilities Include:
Safety, EHS & ComplianceLead safe execution of maintenance activities in compliance with EHS regulations, site policies, and Momentive's Corporate Management System.
Ensure safety and compliance for employees and contractors, including training completion and procedural adherence.
Identify and drive hazard reduction, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support site programs such as Management of Change, Mechanical Integrity, and other EHS requirements.
Maintain accountability for required training and compliance actions for self and direct reports through active field leadership.
Maintenance Operations & ReliabilityLead corrective, preventive, predictive, and capital maintenance activities to support safe, reliable operation of site assets.
Assign, coordinate, and monitor work based on skill, readiness, and operational priority to meet quality and schedule expectations.
Provide technical guidance to maintenance crafts and contractors to ensure proper work methods and workmanship.
Assess equipment and facility conditions to identify risks, maintenance needs, and improvement opportunities.
Track and act on key maintenance performance metrics including PM completion, equipment downtime, MTTR/MTBF, and productivity.
Ensure consistent use of digital work management tools, with accurate execution, documentation, and work order closeout.
Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead by example, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and strong field presence.
Set clear expectations for safety, work quality, behavior, and performance.
Coach, develop, and provide timely feedback to maintenance team members.
Address performance issues through documentation, coaching, and corrective actions aligned with company policy and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Build a culture of trust, discipline, and continuous improvement through collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Planning, EHS, and external partners.
Recognize individual and team contributions that reflect strong safety performance, quality work, and professionalism.

Qualifications:
The following are required for the roleAssociate degree or 5+ years of experience supervising maintenance crafts in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Solid understanding of maintenance and reliability principles, including corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute maintenance work in support of operational priorities.
Proven ability to lead, organize, and influence teams while driving change and measurable improvements.
Strong safety mindset with working knowledge of EHS requirements and safe work practices.
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear reporting and shift/periodic updates.
Proficiency with digital maintenance systems, including CMMS tools (e.g., SAP PM).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) for communication, reporting, and analysis.
Ability to build effective working relationships across Operations, Engineering, EHS, and Planning teams.
Demonstrated strategic thinking with the ability to align daily execution to longer-term improvement goals.
The following are preferred qualifications:Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment, including application of a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Experience in chemical or process manufacturing operations.
Working knowledge of reliability and continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analysis, PM optimization, Lean, or Six Sigma.
Formal training, certification, or apprenticeship in a skilled trade or maintenance discipline.
Familiarity with mechanical integrity programs and applicable industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, PSM).
Experience working within structured management systems (EHS, Quality, ISO-based systems).
Advanced CMMS experience, including reporting, data analysis, and work management effectiveness.
