We are looking for an individual to join our team in
Hillsboro, ND
as the
Maintenance Superintendent
. The purpose of this position is to ensure the physical integrity and operational efficiency of the entire factory through the effective management of maintenance resources, capital improvements and equipment replacement.
The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
Manages the factory maintenance budget and allocation of resources to meet Company objectives and ensure long term growth and profitability with Factory Manager approval.
Ensures the integrity of the entire factory site and resources so that all equipment is available and operating to standard with maximum uptime.
Manages maintenance activities for the entire facility including all process equipment, factory buildings and grounds, landfills, railroad equipment, industrial water treatment facilities and water storage ponds on a 24/7 basis in the event of a major breakdown.
Ensures proper systems of preventative and predictive maintenance are established and followed and measurements are in place to track employee productivity, repair effectiveness, inventory controls and equipment availability.
Ensures the factory maintains all safety, environmental, code and quality standards.
Participates in the 1st and 2nd steps of grievance resolution process.
A detailed knowledge of craft skills, engineering principles, computerized maintenance management, and a fundamental understanding of budgeting and production processes typically gained through the completion of an engineering degree and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of maintenance and engineering experience are essential to lead the maintenance organization. Familiarity with safety, environmental, code compliance, and boiler plant and electrical generation is required, as is remaining current on new technologies and trends in the industry. This position will also require extensive knowledge of all factory operations including engineering, safety, quality, good manufacturing regulations, food safety, purchasing and finance.
