What you will do
Position Summary
This is a night shift position, Monday to Friday, from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM.
The Maintenance Specialist Technician is responsible for ensuring proper maintenance and reliability of all production equipment. This includes adjustment, diagnosis, repair, modification, and fabrication of components and systems of high complexity and technology (mechanical, electrical, electromechanical, electronic, and pneumatic). The role provides specialized technical service to support production mechanics/operators, leads efficiency and reliability improvement projects, and acts as a mentor and subject matter expert. This position is classified as sensitive due to safety implications.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company procedures.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic).
Troubleshoot and repair intelligent devices, including PLCs, VFDs, PCs, vision systems, and motor controllers.
Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Maintain and update maintenance records in CMMS/SAP.
Train operators and maintenance staff in equipment operation and asset care.
Support projects related to equipment installation, qualification, and validation.
Participate in EHS initiatives, ensuring workplace safety and compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
Procure spare parts and services, and manage related documentation.
Collaborate across departments and represent the team in meetings and special initiatives (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, etc.).
Requirements
Education:
Associate Degree in Electromechanics, Electronics, Electricity, or Instrumentation. Bachelor's Degree in Electronics preferred.
Experience:
4-6 years in pharmaceutical or medical device industry, or 2-4 years with valid license and completed Associate Degree. Experience with PLCs and HMIs required.
Ability to move/carry boxes, strong eye-hand coordination, communication, and mobility skills.
Other:
Availability for overtime, night shifts, weekends, emergency calls, and cross-department support.

Gestionar la adquisicion de piezas de repuesto y servicios, y mantener la documentacion actualizada.

Requisitos
Educacion:
Grado Asociado en Electromecanica, Electronica, Electricidad o Instrumentacion. Bachillerato en Electronica preferible.
Experiencia:
4-6 anos en la industria farmaceutica o dispositivos medicos, o 2-4 anos con licencia vigente y Grado Asociado completado. Experiencia en PLC y HMI requerida.
Destrezas:
Bilingue (espanol/ingles), capacidad tecnica en diagnostico, alfabetizacion digital, lectura de diagramas tecnicos.
Demandas Fisicas:
Esfuerzo fisico para mover/cargar cajas, destrezas de coordinacion ojo-mano, comunicacion y movilidad.
Otros:
Disponibilidad para tiempo extra, turnos nocturnos, fines de semana, llamadas de emergencia y apoyo interdepartamental.
