Maintenance Request Manager

SALARY:

Grade 65 ($3,123-4,231) Based on experience & Education

REPORTS TO:

Facilities and Construction Office Manager

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:

12 Months

JOB GOAL:

Performs a variety of tasks to help ensure the day-to-day success of the school district's maintenance request system.

ACCEPTABLE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:



High school diploma or GED from regionally or nationally accredited institutions required. Related experience in maintenance management is preferred. Proficient in using Google Sheets/Docs or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Monitor and manage the work order management software facilities management software (FMX). Communicate effectively and professionally with Facility Services Supervisors, Foreman, Central Office Staff and School Staff to process work orders and address emergency needs. Review Fire Inspection reports for maintenance violations, create work orders for violations, and communicate with key personnel to resolve violations. Communicate effectively and professionally with vendors. Serve as back-up/support for phone, receptionist, and clerical duties. Maintain electronic calendar and other calendars to communicate district and school events to Facility Services staff. Maintain databases of staff information and fleet assignments. Maintain accurate records of utility accounts and assist with utility requests. Assign and inventory technology. Assist in keeping the Facility Services website up to date. Ability to type and operate office equipment with accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Knowledge and ability to use grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. The employee's final job duties are subject to change at any time due to the discretion of the supervisors. Perform other duties and accept responsibilities as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of fingering, grasping, kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, talking, seeing, hearing, and repetitive motion. Must be able to use a variety of automated office equipment such as computers, copiers, etc. Must be able to assist with rearranging furniture and set up for various meetings. Must be able to move files and boxes.
