ELMHS is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join the team in the Maintenance Department as a Maintenance Repairer. Here the work can comes in a range of different varieties from carpentry to HVAC.
Minimum Qualifications
--------------------------
One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR
Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for the upkeep and appearance of the hospital grounds.
Must be able to operate all power and handheld equipment such as: Weed eaters, weed trimmers, lawn mowers both riding and push, chainsaws, power edger, power blowers, etc.
Duties include but are not limited to: cutting grass and weed-eating around stationary structures, trimming the hedges, picking up branches that have fallen out of tree, and at times cutting limbs out of trees.
Make repairs in the following fields:
+ Plumbing: Unstop commodes and sinks, repair water & sewer lines, etc.
+ Carpentry: Repair broken furniture, re-hang entrance door and cabinet doors, hang bulletin boards, pictures, etc.
+ Electrical: Change light bulbs; replace receptacles, switches, repair small appliances, washers, dryers, change out ballast, etc.
+ HVAC/Refrigeration: clean and replace air conditioner and heating filters, change out heat strips in A/C with heater units, make repair to window A/C.
+ Painting: Preparing surfaces before painting i.e. scraping off old paint, filling in holes, etc. Maintain and make general repairs to all ground's equipment.
Maintain a valid, unencumbered driver's license.
