Maintenance Worker - Nursing Home Facility (1199 Position)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to join our maintenance team. This is a
1199 union position
with competitive benefits. The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the facility, grounds, and equipment in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.) Service heating, cooling, and ventilation systems as directed Maintain facility grounds, parking areas, and common spaces Replace light bulbs, clean windows/screens, and complete other minor repairs Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and infection control standards Report equipment issues, hazards, or incidents promptly Assist with emergency maintenance tasks as needed
Requirements:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work in varied conditions (indoors/outdoors, tight spaces) Prior maintenance experience preferred; training provided
Schedule:
Full-time / Part-time / Per Diem available (may include weekends/holidays).
