Maintenance Technician with Automation Support.

What You'll Do

Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Dismantles machinery and equipment to remove/replace defective parts. Ensures that production goals are met by optimizing equipment and machinery. Assists engineers with new equipment installation and implementation. Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying machine/automation/robotic system components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings. Informing the proper staffing about changes that need to be made to those prints. Basic PLC programming knowledge. Modify robotic programs, PLC ladder logic, etc. Robot Programming of FANUC robots' knowledge a plus. Records procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or method. Document and communicate work performed, project status, etc., with affected team members including other maintenance staff, maintenance manager and automation group. Ability to maintain the highest level of safety, housekeeping, productivity, and quality with minimal supervision. Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks. Assist with new project development by bending and installing conduit, wiring panels and enclosures. Rebuilding and installing machines, pumps, blowers, and other secondary equipment that is procured. Train production workers on daily preventative maintenance tasks.

What We're Looking For

The preferred candidate would have 2 to 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience with some automation experience. Strong mechanical aptitude and skilled in analyzing machine issues to perform proper corrective actions. Associate degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology or Automation Engineering Technology from an accredited institution preferred.
