Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Operations:

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, including machinery used for steel and aluminum products, to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

Team Leadership:

Manage, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.

Preventive Maintenance:

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to support the plant's high-output production

Project Management:

Lead maintenance-related projects, including equipment upgrades and installations, to support new programs launching in 2025 and maintain the plant's competitive edge.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.

Budget Oversight:

Manage maintenance budgets, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.

Continuous Improvement:

Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment reliability enhancements.

Vendor Coordination:

Work with external vendors and suppliers to source parts, manage service contracts, and ensure timely delivery of maintenance-related materials.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and downtime metrics, providing regular reports to plant leadership.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive or heavy industrial settings. Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a high-volume production facility. Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, industrial equipment, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with steel and aluminum manufacturing processes or automotive component production is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners. Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
