Oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, including machinery used for steel and aluminum products, to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Team Leadership:
Manage, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.
Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to support the plant's high-output production
Project Management:
Lead maintenance-related projects, including equipment upgrades and installations, to support new programs launching in 2025 and maintain the plant's competitive edge.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Budget Oversight:
Manage maintenance budgets, optimize resource allocation, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment reliability enhancements.
Vendor Coordination:
Work with external vendors and suppliers to source parts, manage service contracts, and ensure timely delivery of maintenance-related materials.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and downtime metrics, providing regular reports to plant leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive or heavy industrial settings.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in a high-volume production facility.
Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, industrial equipment, and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with steel and aluminum manufacturing processes or automotive component production is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
