Job Description

Position Overview:



The Maintenance Manager leads all aspects of maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement for our 465,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise, proven management skills, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Facility Maintenance & Operations: Oversee maintenance, repair, and upgrades of facility systems and equipment. Manage vendor relationships and control maintenance costs. Team Leadership & Development: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 20 direct and 15 indirect maintenance personnel to achieve optimal performance. Budget & Performance Management: Track maintenance KPIs and ensure adherence to budgets, including cost-per-pound and M&R metrics. Compliance & Safety: Implement and enforce safety programs, ensuring compliance with USDA, HACCP, and all regulatory standards. Project Oversight: Manage weekend rebuilds and coordinate with M&R vendors to deliver maintenance projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications



Bachelor's degree in Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years of progressive maintenance management experience in manufacturing (poultry or food processing preferred). Proven success leading maintenance teams or full maintenance operations. Strong financial acumen with experience in maintenance cost analysis (Agristats). In-depth knowledge of HACCP, USDA sanitation, and pre-operation requirements. 1-3 years of experience with refrigeration and electrical systems.

Required:



Experience managing staff (Direct: 20 | Indirect: 15) Master-level mechanic knowledge and advanced general maintenance skills Proficiency in welding, pneumatics, wiring, motor controls, and PLCs
