Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the work assignments of all maintenance staff.
Manage the activities of assigned personnel to ensure maintenance excellence is achieved and maintained so that all equipment is operating at cost-effective, peak performance.
Proactive leadership that fosters teamwork and enhances IFG culture and standards.
Train, mentor, evaluate performance and counsel team members promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Oversee the warehouse and inventory of parts and materials
Work closely with other departments, including Dry End, Green End and Quality to coordinate efforts and streamline operations.
Participate in the planning and implementation of all capital projects in the mill.
Collaborate with Plant Superintendent to build and manage the department budget.
Oversee installation, repair and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment and coordination of outside contractors, with primary focus on safe and continuous operation of all equipment and facilities.
Ensure that safety requirements are met in the planning and implementation processes.
Develop, lead and engage team through CMMS in predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance programs throughout facility.
Implement and manage root cause analysis (RCA) problem-solving efforts to eliminate repeat equipment failures.
Evaluate and measure vendor performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
Soft Skills:
+ Leadership: Strong managerial skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team to achieve a common goal.
+ Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
+ Problem-solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges creatively and effectively.
+ Organizational Skills: The ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Examples include time management, multitasking, and project management. Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Skills:
+ Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety procedures
+ Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment and tools desirable
+ Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and maintenance business processes, including:
- Work order management and workflow process
- Mechanical systems
- Power distribution
- Control systems and hydraulics
- Robotics/Automation
- Precision maintenance techniques
+ Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Associates or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
Valid driver's license
Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
