Job Description

The Manager of Engineering, Maintenance & Projects is responsible for managing the engineering function, overseeing all facility maintenance, equipment upgrades and modifications, and for operation of all plant utilities. This position also oversees the development of plans, budgets and schedules for facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee Maintenance Departments consisting of approx. 25 people

Control and prioritize the Plant work orders and preventive maintenance programs utilizing CMMS

Provide support to the Environmental Health and Safety Manager and Production Departments

Review/modify plant production equipment to improve efficiency to reduce downtime

Prepare operating and capital budgets.

Organize highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects.

Represent Engineering on cross-functional teams.

Build, develop and manage engineering team capable of carrying out needed engineering initiatives.

Provide engineering expertise in areas throughout the organization.

Manage department budget and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates

Initiate planned maintenance programs for a variety of equipment.

Identify, select and manage outside contractors performing services on company property

Develop and direct procedures and methods to ensure quality standards are met and maintained

Recommend methods, materials and layouts for improvement based on production needs and capabilities

Act as internal service provider to the production department to enable continuous improvement

Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,609.95 - $90,014.13 per year
