COMPANY:

Carolina Textile Care (CTC) completed the first purpose built commercial laundry in the Low Country in more than a generation and opened the facility in early 2020. Our plant processes only customer owned goods and serves the high-end hospitality market exclusively. POSITION:

We seek to hire a maintenance leader who will demonstrate strong ownership of the department and build a team which will ensure world class up time and flawless maintence of our facility and production equipmment. You will bring solid experience and skills, a desire to grow a high functioning team, a can do spirit and incomparable work ethic to the position.

SUMMARY:



The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe operation of the facility and the rigorous execution of a complete preventative maintenance program. He will be responsible for all scheduled preventive maintenance tasks and repairs which occur at the plant. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for the training of maintenance tech(s) and for scheduling their activities. The Maintenance Manager manages the maintenance team and is accountable for ensuring all plant infrastructure is maintained to the highest of standards. This must include a rigorous program of preventive maintenance and plant cleanliness. He must be team-oriented and able to function individually or with his team on all maintenance issues. The right individual will always be willing to go the extra mile; must be self-motivated and independent; be prompt and be able to handle multiple tasks as priorities present themselves.

This is a critical position at CTC and requires previous experience as a maintenance manager in a commercial laundry production environment. We will only be responding to and interviewing candidates with a minimum of five years of relevant experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



1. Preventative Maintenance Scheduled Tasks

a. Ensure all PMs issued are completed on schedule and documented.

b. Assist the personnel on your shift with their assigned PMs when needed.

2. Production Support

a. Ensure all calls from production are answered swiftly.

b. Assist Production Supervisors on your shift with any maintenance related issues.

3. Scheduled Maintenance Task

a. Ensure all routine daily tasks issued on your shift are completed on schedule.

b. Ensure all scheduled tasks issued for your shift are completed in a timely manner.

c. Maintain the maintenance log by making entries of incomplete task and new problems.

4. Communications

a. Must have solid communication skills.

b. Notify Production Supervisors on the status of any equipment that will effect production or cause down time.

c. Notify Production Supervisors when downed equipment is back online.

5. Plant Cleanliness

a. Ensure the routine custodial tasks are completed.

b. Ensure all the routine blow downs are completed.

c. Ensure the plant is kept clean at all times.

6. Attendance

a. Must be dependable and on time, ready to start work at the beginning of their shift.

b. Regular weekend work will be necessary as the team is built.

c. Maintain a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS



5 years of maintenance experience, commercial laundry experience is a plus. Comfortable working with 480v/3 phase equipment and motors. Knowledge of electro-mechanical and PLC environments, fluent in reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting, conveyancing, boiler, water treatment and laundry equipment. Knowledge of basic building systems. Solid mechanical and repair skills. Ability to create and implement a preventive maintenance program. Experience maintaining managing and accounting for spare parts inventory. Experience in the operation of fork lifts, snorkel lifts and scissor lifts desirable.

A high school diploma followed by Military, technical or other post-secondary training preferred.

The sucesful canidate will be very familiar with most or all of the following:



1. Safety

a. Must be able to operate tools and equipment safely

b. Must be able to understand all safety procedures, which includes but not limited to lockout/tag out, confined space entry, and working on hot equipment.

c. Must be able to maintain clean and safe work area. An obsession with cleanliness is preferred.

2. Mechanical

a. Must have a good working knowledge of machinery.

b. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blue prints helpful.

c. Able to repair and maintain mechanical drive systems.

3. Pneumatics and Hydraulics

a. Must a basic understanding of air-operated equipment.

b. Must a basic understanding of hydraulic operated equipment.

4. Welding

a. A basic knowledge of welding helpful.

b. A basic knowledge of oxy-acetylene cutting equipment helpful.

5. Electrical

a. Must have a basic knowledge of industrial wiring.

b. Must know three-phase motor wiring for both high and low voltage.

6. Electronics

a. Must have good knowledge of industrial electronics and PLC driven environments.

b. Must be able to trouble shoot electronics.

c. Must be able to learn machine programming steps without difficulty

7. Boiler Operations

a. A basic knowledge of boiler safety helpful.

b. A basic knowledge of boiler operations helpful.

8. Demonstrate the above skills through both written and oral examination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $83,036.00 - $87,618.00 per year
