Cannon Valley Graziers (CVG) provides large-scale vegetation management services for solar energy and conservation projects across the U.S. Our work emphasizes safety, operational reliability, and environmentally responsible land management.

Position Summary:

CVG is seeking an experienced mechanic to help support our solar vegetation management operations in Mississippi. The Operations & Maintenance Lead is responsible for maintaining a fleet of company vehicles, mowers and skid-loaders, managing the maintenance shop, and providing technical support to field crews. This is a hands-on role that blends mechanical work, field troubleshooting, and crew support.

Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage and perform scheduled maintenance and repairs for all equipment; Oversee organization, safety, and inventory of the central maintenance shop; Maintain parts inventory and coordinate ordering with the Regional Project Supervisor.

Requirements:

2+ years mechanic experience & shop management Proficiency in diagnostics and maintenance, and repair for small engines Diesel mechanic experience Experience Welding

Additional Information

35-45 hrs/week Seasonal, February - November, with possibility of becoming year-round; Some second-shift or extended-hours work may be required during peak periods or equipment downtime.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
