We are seeking a proactive and dependable Maintenance Helper to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will assist with a variety of maintenance tasks across our facilities, ensuring that equipment, systems, and infrastructure operate smoothly and safely. Duties
Assist with routine maintenance and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems using schematics and technical manuals.
Support the installation, inspection, and troubleshooting of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing processes.
Perform basic welding tasks and assist with residential painting projects as needed.
Use tools such as ohmmeters to measure electrical resistance and ensure proper system functionality.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Help supervise small teams during specific projects or tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and report findings to senior technicians or supervisors.
Requirements
Basic mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
Electrical experience including familiarity with electrical systems, troubleshooting, and use of testing tools like ohmmeters.
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable.
Knowledge of welding techniques and residential painting is a plus.
Strong understanding of facilities maintenance practices within manufacturing or similar environments.
Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork.
Supervising experience or leadership skills are preferred for guiding junior team members.
Ability to read technical schematics and diagrams accurately.
Prior experience with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history is advantageous.
