Job Summary


We are seeking a versatile and skilled Handy Man to join our Automotive maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and automotive improvement tasks across residential, commercial, and manufacturing environments. This role requires strong automotive metal mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, along with leadership qualities to supervise projects and coordinate with team members. The Handy Man will ensure that all facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Duties



Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and machinery. Perform repairs involving , wiring electrical systems, welding, and cutting sheet metal and drywall. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues. Operate tools such as ohmmeters, Multimeters, Cable Testers, and other diagnostic equipment. Supervise maintenance projects and coordinate with contractors or other team members. Maintain accurate records of work performed using digital systems. Assist with residential painting projects and general facility upkeep. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or internal teams regarding maintenance needs. Lead or supervise maintenance staff during complex repair tasks or projects.

Skills



Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance and manufacturing environments. Proficiency in electrical work, including troubleshooting circuits and wiring using schematics and ohmmeters. Experience with digital software is preferred. Skilled in welding techniques for metal repairs and fabrication. Knowledge of residential painting techniques and general maintenance person skills. Supervising experience to lead maintenance teams effectively. Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to read technical schematics accurately. Effective communication skills in English for clear instructions and documentation. Leadership qualities to oversee projects from start to finish while ensuring safety standards are met. Education:

High School Diploma Associates Trade or Technical School
Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
