Overview

Looking for a once-a-week or as-needed handyman or handywoman to help keep our residential spaces in excellent condition. We are a residential mental health program working with high-functioning young adults. We pride ourselves on having clean, neat, well-maintained facilities and are looking for someone to help us

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment Conduct basic repairs on:
-Plumbing
-Appliances
-Electrical
-Doors, Trim, Wall patches, etc.

Help with aesthetic maintenance such as:
-Repainting
-Retexturing
-Occasional yard projects

Help coordinate contracting with specialists when a project exceeds your expertise/licensure Help build and move furniture as needed Assist with residential painting projects, ensuring high-quality finishes that enhance property appearance Report to Administrative Support Coordinator on needed maintenance, scheduling, and budgets Maintain accurate records of work performed Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols during all maintenance operations

Requirements

Prior experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or residential property upkeep Mechanical knowledge including plumbing, HVAC systems, and general repair skills Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred but not mandatory Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with residents or clients Prior construction experience is preferred We value and prioritize prior military service in our hires Fluency in English for clear communication within the team and with residents or clients

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 12 per week
