We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Assistant to support our facilities and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills, with the ability to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and assist in facility upgrades. Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure operational efficiency. Assist with troubleshooting using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to identify issues accurately. Conduct welding repairs and basic fabrication tasks to support equipment and structural needs. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to diagnose electrical problems effectively. Support residential painting projects and general facilities maintenance tasks as needed. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks, ensure safety compliance, and improve maintenance procedures. May also be required to help in housekeeping department*

Qualifications

Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential environments. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics. Ability to operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their application in industrial settings is desirable. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a maintenance team is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination. Basic knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping. Ability to perform residential painting tasks with attention to detail when required. Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
