We are seeking a reliable and hardworking

Maintenance Assistant

to help maintain the physical integrity of our building and equipment.

Qualifications:

Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus). Basic knowledge of general maintenance procedures and safety practices. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older Must meet health assessment requirements, including two stage Mantoux skin test. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing, and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.

Responsibilities:

Assist with general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facility's interior and exterior. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance. Assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents. Ensure that safety standards and regulations are followed. Help maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools. Support environmental services with seasonal groundskeeping (e.g., snow removal, lawn care). Report any hazards or equipment issues to the Maintenance Director or Administrator.
