Job Description

Evaluates systems and facilities to determine maintenance or repair needs, plan work assignments, and plan project schedules.

Tracks project completion and facilitates forecasting to promote a data driven facility management process.

May assist with maintenance policies and procedures

May assist with sees inventory management of the department.

May coordinates directly with service providers, vendors, and contractors to schedule repairs, services, and other projects required to keep company's physical assets in top condition.

Estimates materials and labor costs for repairs, replacements, and improvements.

Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.

Works with Facilities Manager to identify contractors and vendors of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Assist Facilities Manager in developing the departmental budget estimates, obtains quotations, and handles payments for maintenance services and supplies.

Performs preventative maintenance and general repair tasks as needed to support each department, the production effort, and the facilities systems.

Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notifies appropriate personnel, and follows safety protocols. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & TRAINING



Associates degree or equivalent on-the-job training and experience in industrial maintenance preferred. Certificates in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or another relevant field desirable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE:



Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, paint line, equipment, or structures. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong management and leadership skills and aptitude. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate. Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software. Five years' experience in a maintenance, industrial, or manufacturing environment with at least one year experience in a supervisory capacity.

QUALIFICATIONS



Requires proficient verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented. Reliable, skilled in time management, and maintains excellent attendance. Ability to supervise subordinates to accomplish desired goals. Ability to coordinate with cross functional teams to accomplish project completions. Works effectively with company personnel on all levels. Understands and supports company policies and procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



Physically capable and available to work overtime including some weekends, holidays, or evenings as required. Comfortable working at heights and able to lift, carry, push and/or pull 1 - 60 lbs. frequently. Excellent manual dexterity. Squat/kneel, bend/stoop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward occasionally. Sit, stand, and walk for 10 hours per day or more. Ability to work both in a 55 - 90-degree Fahrenheit manufacturing and an office work environment. Occasional outdoor work in cold and hot conditions and inclement weather likely. Exposure to chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards, and other physical substances. Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate personal protective equipment, as required.
