Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision, safely and efficiently: + excavate an on-line/on-grade trench that is properly sloped, benched or shored
+ place pipe bedding and pipe in a trench
+ attach/detach various buckets with a quick coupler

Hours:

Ability to work hourly full time, generally 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays More/less hours may be required based on weather conditions and project demands Winter layoff may occur annually

Physical Requirements + Sit for long periods of time
+ As necessary, get out of machine and assist ground personnel with pipe-laying operations
+ Climb up and down ladders
+ Be able to see (naturally or with correction)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience operating heavy equipment preferred Experience operating heavy equipment in the underground utility industry preferred * High school education or equivalent preferred
