Mail Route Operator

to service a subcontracted USPS highway contract route based in

Madison, AL

Key Responsibilities:

Pick up and deliver mail on a fixed USPS highway contract route Adhere to USPS-specified departure and return times Securely transport mail and maintain accurate handling Conduct daily vehicle inspections Follow all USPS safety and handling procedures

Requirements:

You must have your own reliable vehicle

suitable for USPS mail delivery (e.g., cargo van, sprinter van, or small box truck) Valid driver's license with clean driving record Pass USPS background check and drug screening Ability to lift and load mail tubs and parcels (moderate lifting) Strong reliability, punctuality, and professional demeanor

Vehicle Guidelines:

Enclosed, lockable, and weather-resistant Easy access (rear and/or side doors) Clean, well-maintained, and compliant with USPS delivery standards

Additional Info:

Route operates Monday through Saturday with early morning starts Annual mileage approx. 5,500+ Compensation includes flat rate per day and fuel reimbursement Contractor responsible for own taxes, insurance, and vehicle maintenance
