Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining processes and be proficient in operating various CNC machines. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with precision measuring instruments. The Machinist will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet strict specifications.

Duties

Operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications. Perform CNC programming, including CAM programming for efficient machining processes. Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accurate part dimensions and tolerances. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements. Conduct electrical discharge machining as needed for specialized components. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to verify part dimensions. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members in assembly processes and lean manufacturing initiatives. Operate hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment effectively for various machining tasks. Assist in the setup of machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred. Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes is essential. Strong understanding of mechanical concepts and manufacturing processes, including plastics injection molding. Familiarity with CAD software, and basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks. Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control techniques is required. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Ability to operate forklifts safely is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $23.22 - $30.00 per hour
