Overview

H. E. Anderson is a Family owned Manufacturing company of Agricultural and Horticultural Equipment. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machinist/Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision water treatment equipment and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure high-quality output and efficient production processes. Duties

Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment such as CNC programming and Fanuc controls to produce precision parts according to specifications. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate manufacturing. Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for precise measurements. Perform routine maintenance on machines, troubleshoot issues, and adjust settings to optimize performance while adhering to safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling to assist with assembly or secondary operations as needed. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste throughout the machining process. Maintain accurate documentation of production runs, inspection reports, and quality control records.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing environments involving plastics injection molding or metal fabrication. Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and conversational. Ability to read complex blueprints with GD&T specifications accurately. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges. Experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with Fanuc controls or similar systems. Basic math skills necessary for measurement conversions and calculations related to machining tolerances. Ability to operate forklifts safely when handling raw materials or finished products. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles aimed at continuous improvement. Capable of working with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly procedures efficiently and safely. Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
