Job Description

Papercone Corporation is seeking a mechanically skilled Machine Set-Up Technician to join our production team. This position is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and quality. This position is a 3rd shift position (Sun-Thur 11:30pm-7:30am). Training will be up to one year on 1st shift (Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm).


High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in mechanical systems preferred.


Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine adjustment or mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment.


Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working on production equipment.


Familiarity with safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.


Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.


Job Responsibilities:


Set up and adjust machines to ensure product specifications and quality standards are met.
Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and adjustments to machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime.
Work closely with machine operators and quality control to ensure consistent product output.
Monitor machine performance and make necessary changes to improve efficiency and output.
Maintain accurate records of adjustments, maintenance, and repairs.
Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Assist with preventive maintenance schedules and suggest improvements for machine performance.


The candidate for this role will be required to train on 1st shift for up to the first year before transitioning to 3rd shift.
