Machine Operator

FULL-TIME

$17/hr

The Machine Operator is responsible for all activities associated with running the machine including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

---Starting wage up to $20+/hour depending on experience---

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitoring box quality, including, but not limited to, loose liner, warp, correct size, and print.
  • Checking anilox rolls for damage.
  • Maximizing the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
  • Training and assisting First and Second Helpers with job duties on the machine.
  • Cross-training on other machines.
  • Completing necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to: Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
  • Turning in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. - Being proactive in the maintenance of equipment.
  • Switching duties with First Helper as necessary.
  • Complying with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Adhering to production schedule. Making recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
  • Reporting any unusual scheduling issues to Supervisor.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by management. TUL-03 WS-03 WS-TC WS-LC
Schedule

Shift start: 6:00AM
Shift length: 8 - 10 hours
Monday - Friday, occasional Saturdays

Qualifications
  • Must pass drug screen (cannabis included)
  • Must pass background check
  • Can lift 100 lbs
  • Must be at least 18+ years old
Candidates are PREFERRED who: \xe2\x80\xa2 Prior work experience in the corrugated industry. \xe2\x80\xa2 6 months\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a Press Department First Helper. \xe2\x80\xa2 6 months\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the Press and Finishing Department. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations. \xe2\x80\xa2 May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License. \xe2\x80\xa2 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch
