Press Assistant

PURPOSE OF POSITION:


This position is responsible for assisting in the set-up and operation of production equipment to meet quality and productivity requirements per customer specification. Will also be responsible for managing inventory, receiving inventory, and picking inventory for upcoming Production.



WORK PERFORMED:

Fully understands and follows all ABX safety rules and policies. Assists in the setup and operation of flexographic printing press / slitters to meet quality and productivity requirements per customer specification and as designated by press operator, supervisor, or manager Assists in assuring all product quality, safety, and production standards are met Completes documentation in accurate manner Assists in the change of raw materials on Press Ensure quality and safe operation of equipment and notifies operator when aware of issues Complete processes within allotted set up time Performs miscellaneous duties as required by operator, supervisor, or manager Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety instructions Participate in ongoing CI and Focus improvement processes Prestaging of materials, boxes, cores, inks, according to job specific requirements Cycle counting of materials in the warehouse to insure inventory accuracy Receipt of materials incoming from vendor to put into inventory Moving inventory to finished goods once production is complete

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:

Good verbal and written communication skills Works with others to keep areas organized and works as a team member to assist others. Capable of and committed to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and company procedures. Good communication and organizational skills Demonstrates basic mathematical skills Continuous learning will be expected Able to work overtime as required
