ENTRY LEVEL, FIRST SHIFT, WEEKLY PAY

Description:

Candidates will be doing a variety of the below duties, depending upon which area they are working that day:

Sets up and operates a machine in order to shape composites.

Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery.

Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Areas:

Gear Box:

primarily using math skills

some calipers and tape measures

using variety of measurement tools

Molding:

plastics experience is great here

Like to work independently

sheet fiberglass

exposed to acetones (used to clean)

good starting spot for candidates

Element:

filling up a mold

works alone

You blow out the dust from a circle gear

repetitive

Cut & Bond:

Computer use to scan and enter data

20 parts/day

Use circular saw to cut material with a partner

Use tape measure to ensure cuts

Will have to adjust settings of a machine

Packaging:

Items are 40lbs

Skills:

tape measure, machine set up, saw operation, blueprint, power tool, Hand tool, Inspection, Machine operating, grinding, saw cut

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum:

HS Diploma or GED

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures - following safety and SOP\'s

Ability to read a tape measure down to 32nd

Ability to stand 8+ hours/day

Ability to convert fractions to decimal (or learn how)

6+ months machine operator experience

Preferred:

6+ months using calipers or micrometers or other measurement tools

6+ months working with composites

6+ molding experience

6+ months doing machine setup

6+months working with mills or lathes or winders
