Machine Builder / Assembler

to our team that is responsible for Mechanical/Electrical assembly and testing of industrial equipment and anything else we may contract to design/build. This person should be able to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical or mechanical equipment, and support shop operations as needed.

YOU'RE GOOD AT:

Comprehending assembly instructions, specifications, schematics, diagrams, drawings, parts list, as well as verbal instruction; then apply them to building, or modifying all types of electronic and mechanical assemblies. Gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials, which may include scrounging through our miscellaneous parts storage, to build rough prototype machines for testing conceptual designs. Helping determine material needs for projects. Providing technical knowledge to team members. Maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area.

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:

A "can-do" attitude with strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking to remove roadblocks in the assembly process. Knowledge of, and experience with, electrical panel set-up such as installing and wiring fuse blocks, terminal blocks, disconnects, VFDs as well as understanding the proper sizes of each. Knowledge of, and experience with, mechanical power transmission components such as bearings, clutches, roller chain, pneumatic cylinders, valves, pulleys, timing belts, gearboxes. Proficiency with mechanics' tools, power tools, measuring tools, and other shop equipment. Ability to load and unload trucks and trailers, as well as receive packages if needed.
