Key Responsibilities
Assemble industrial automated machines according to engineering specifications
Interpret and utilize detailed mechanical and assembly drawings
Construct and align frame assemblies, drive systems, motors, shafts, drums, rolls, and bearings
Install and fine-tune pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, brackets, and safety guards
Conduct operational testing, make mechanical adjustments, and perform final verifications to ensure proper functionality
Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and pi-tapes
Safely transport large components using forklifts and overhead cranes, contributing to a safe material handling process
Assist with shipping and receiving of completed machines as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, promoting a productive environment
Share ideas to enhance build efficiency and assembly processes
What We are Looking For
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machine Builder, Industrial Assembler, or Automation Technician
Demonstrated ability to accurately read and understand mechanical/engineering prints
Practical experience in assembling complex industrial automated machinery
Competence in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Experience in operating forklifts and rigging with cranes
Prepared to work on a
contract-to-hire
basis and be available for significant overtime
Preferred
5+ years of experience in machine building or OEM assembly
Background in automation, capital equipment, or OEM manufacturing environments
Possession of forklift and crane certifications
Completion of a trade school, technical degree, or possess equivalent practical experience
Ideal Candidate
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety protocols
Adaptable to a fast-paced, production-oriented setting
Possesses a flexible schedule and is available for extended hours and Saturday work
Committed to ensuring machines are built correctly from the outset
Collaborative team member with strong communication skills on the shop floor
Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
Capable of frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs (with assistance)
