As the Senior Manager of M&A Strategy (Corporate Development), you will play a crucial role for Hitachi Digital as it seeks to triple the size of its global business by 2027 and as such the role will give the ideal candidate a fantastic opportunity for hands on experience in sourcing, shaping deals, M&A execution, post-merger integration and business strategy.

What you\'ll be doing

  • Partner with business unit leaders on M&A strategy development, including identifying gaps, evaluating build/buy/partner options, collaborating on target selection criteria as well as the evaluating of inbound M&A opportunities. Assist with build/ buy/ partner analysis working with business stakeholders.
  • Publish timely industry, sector analysis and related commentary.
  • Support with proactive sourcing of deals through primary and secondary research, and investment banker relationships.
  • Lead multiple business strategy and M&A related projects. Oversee transaction diligence and project management for the deal life cycle.
  • Develop presentations on key initiatives and the state of the business for senior management and board members.
  • Manage aspects of the due diligence, integration or transition processes, and synthesizing information for leadership teams
  • Preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review, Lead, assist with valuation work, transaction comparable and precedents for a full valuation analysis and price discovery / clearing price for deals.
  • Develop Synergy models in partnership with BU\'s and other cross functional teams.
What you bring to the team
  • Preferably MBA or similar degree in Finance (CPA, CFA, CMA).
  • 10+ years of work experience (Finance, M&A or Consulting) within WallStreet Firms, Consulting Firms or from similar Tech Services Firms.
  • Hands on practical financial modeling and model building experience; ability to understand Financial Statements, Cash Flows.
  • Understanding and knowledge of complex M&A structures (LBO, RMT, Spin-off, Split-Offs).
  • Industry knowledge of technology across software and services.
  • Live deal sheet with prior M&A deal experience across sourcing and execution.
  • Very Strong verbal and written communication skills.
As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is:
  • Tier Two Location (including Colorado, Seattle, and the rest of California): $150k - $180k.
  • Tier Three Location (including the rest of Washington State): $130k - $160k.
The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Vantara\'s bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program\'s conditions and restrictions.
