General Summary

Set up and operates machining and assembly equipment. Monitors the process and the quality of the product and makes necessary corrections to the process in order to maintain a steady flow of quality product to the customer. Demonstrates Spartan's Core Operating Values through work activities, actions, and behaviors.

Job Duties

1. Follows Spartan's Core Operating Values and safety standards/requirements in all work and team activities.


2. Performs machine/automation set up and shut down processes.


3. Jobs in and out of ERP system at work station.


4. Operates various secondary equipment to complete one or more operations on each part. Performs hand assembly tasks on various parts


5. Keeps up with quoted pace of equipment / line processes


6. Performs all cleaning and finishing, as necessary on each part.


7. Monitors the product quality using required gages, CMM equipment and inspection criteria.


8. Packages the product and label as specified in documented instructions.


9. Completes required paperwork correctly and neatly.


10. Follows all work instructions and standard work, and keeps updated on revisions.


11. Handles scrap as instructed in work area procedures.


12. Adjusts machines as needed and performs light repair work / initiate work orders when needed.


13. Performs preventive maintenance activities.


14. Maintains a clean, safe work area, including performing assigned safety/housekeeping duties.


15. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Preferred: High School/GED


1+ years manufacturing experience
